The Shack at Baird Bay is a 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom house, which is available for short term rent. There is a third bedroom separate from the main house, in the end of the shed. Guests must be prepared to self-cater, and to BYO linen. A cafe is located next door at the Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience – an award winning experience where guests swim with wild dolphins and sea lions in the protected waters of Baird Bay.
Baird Bay itself is a long, narrow bay which covers 3800 hectares. The entrance to the Southern Ocean is protected by Jones Island and limestone reefs, and the whole bay is surrounded by cliffs or hills, which reduces the wind.
